Azimut presents a new hybrid yacht concept

1 March 2023

Azimut Yachts has always been known for its innovative yacht designs that push the limits of engineering and technology. Recently, the brand unveiled its latest hybrid yacht concept with an open cockpit. This new yacht design promises to be one of the most luxurious and eco-friendly vessels on the market, providing yacht enthusiasts with a unique and unforgettable experience on the open sea.

Sustainability

The Italian shipyard announces a 40% reduction in CO2 over a year’s use. No less than three models have already been announced, the Seadeck 6, 17.25 m long with 3 cabins, the Seadeck 7, 21.88 m long with 4 cabins and the Seadeck 8.

One of the standout features of this new hybrid yacht concept is its open cockpit design called “Fun Island”. The yacht’s cockpit is designed to offer maximum comfort, style, and flexibility. The cockpit is open, spacious, and offers an unobstructed view of the sea. The yacht’s design team has paid particular attention to creating an ergonomic and comfortable space for passengers, with plenty of seating options, a large dining area, and a wet bar.

Seadeck is the first Series of hybrid motoryachts for families and the first line conceived with a holistic approach, which integrates the solutions used on Azimut’s Low Emission Yachts with hybrid engines and on-board systems designed to reduce energy absorption. A combination that will allow the reduction of 40% of CO2 emissions in a year of average use, between navigation and stops at anchor.

The Fun Island concept

The new hybrid yacht concept from Azimut Yachts combines the best of both worlds – a traditional diesel engine and an electric motor. This hybrid propulsion system ensures that the yacht is not only eco-friendly but also offers exceptional performance, speed, and power. The yacht can operate in electric mode, which provides a silent and emissions-free cruising experience, or in hybrid mode, which offers a more traditional experience. The electric motor is powerful enough to propel the yacht at low speeds, and the diesel engine takes over when more power is needed.

In addition to its hybrid propulsion system, the yacht also boasts a range of eco-friendly features. The yacht’s construction materials and finishes are all carefully selected to reduce its environmental impact, and the yacht’s systems are designed to minimize energy consumption. The yacht also features a range of solar panels, which provide additional power for the electric motor and reduce the yacht’s reliance on traditional diesel engines.
